To mark the centenary of Puccini’s birth, the Odessa Theater, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Ukraine, the Italian Embassy, the Italian Consulate, and the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Odessa, presented Puccini’s operatic duo “Suor Angelica” and “Gianni Schicchi” for the first time in Odessa. They invited director Carlo Antonio De Lucia, who directed “Suor Angelica,” Italian baritone Domenico Balzani, who performed “Gianni Schicchi,” and set designer Chiara Demelio to Odessa.
